Use the Toastmasters formula of “Commend, Recommend, Commend”
|Mention what you liked about the speech, and the speaker’s strengths.
|Offer no more than two recommendations for improvement, showing how to improve.
|Summarise your main points and end motivational.
Points to consider:
The speaker’s use of notes
Did the speaker meet the speech objectives?
Manner: confident or nervous
Gestures: relevant or overly dramatic?
Stance: strong or nervous?
Eye Contact: did the eye contact include the whole audience?
Language: use of smiles, metaphors, alliteration, cliches
